This is the Hardware Inventory
(because that’s what Geek Technique calls it :P)
All the hardware I own:

Stuff in use:

  • Wallace, my trusty Apple MacBook Pro (15in second generation base model) triple booting; OS X 10.4, Arch Linux (which I use the most), and Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon.
  • Penguinator. Former workstation, current server. Contains a Pentium 4 2.4ghz, 768mb ram, and 20gb and 160gig hard disks. Runs Arch Linux with all the trimmings: Apache, PHP, MySQL, Samba, Cups, SVN, SSH, FTP, IMAP. (more info.) Currently lives next to the water heater.
  • Winchester: Test box that currently has OpenBSD installed to play with (OpenBSD is very nice). Old beige Dell Dimension XPS.
  • Crawley: 4th gen Apple iPod (U2 version). Received from my cousin after he dropped and broke it. A new hard disk and it runs fine. Runs Rockbox.
  • What I carry around in my pockets:

Stuff out of use:

  • Mitsubishi Industrial Robots I have two Pan-Tilt bases and two control boxes. Control boxes each have (along with power supplies, and video hardware), a PCM-5864 Single Board Computer with a Pentium processor.
  • Ancient Zenith Data Systems laptop (luggable): Two 3.5in Floppy Drive bays (no other storage), Blue n White screen. I have the DOS version of Eliza on it.
  • Various old laptops
  • Various old desktops

Fortune

While anyone can admit to themselves they were wrong, the true test is admission to someone else.
