Meet Evil Fanged Mutant Bunny.
EFMB is one of Driven Bolts’s robots. We have another one called T-Rex, but he doesn’t work as well as EFMB. EFMB may look complicated, but he really only does 4 things. Drives around with his 4 wheels, spins the row of wheels in the front at a very high speed to get balls into the basket, lifts the basket vertically up and down (The basket is in it’s up position in the photo.), and tilts the basket forward so that the bottom of the basket becomes the top and the balls dump into a goal to the back of the robot (which is actually the front of the robot when you drive it).

This year’s challenge is called “Hangin’-A-Round”. The game is played on a square 12 foot by 12 foot square field with 24 inch triangular goals in the center of each side, and low goals in two corners. Stacks of 4 softballs are placed in various places around the field. In the center of the field is a rotating platform with a 30 inch ball (the Atlas Ball) and a bar just above it. The “Atlas Ball” will double your points if you get it on your side, and you gain 15 points if your hanging on the bar at the end of the round. The object of the game is get the softballs in your goals to get more points than your opponents. That’s the game in a nutshell.
