The Zune. The big iPod Killer. Ooo Ahhh. I almost want it to kill the iPod. Just so something different happens. I guess I’m just the kind of person who’s always wishing that something different will happen. Always craving some change. If Apple does fall from grace, and the Zune takes over, wouldn’t that force Apple to make products that are even cooler? Though thats probably not a good money making strategy for Apple, cause people just don’t buy expensive portable music players every 6 months. As well as the fact that creativity and creating coolness isn’t exactly the easiest thing to do, though Apple has a pretty good handle on it. Besides, Apple has really no say in whether the Zune kills the iPod or not anyway.

Then there’s the whole Vista delay disappointment. Hasn’t Microsoft realized by now that if you don’t tell anybody about a product and don’t give any release dates, they won’t be disappointed when you miss the date? I bet you Apple has just the same problems with getting software written in a time frame, they just don’t tell anybody about it. And even if Microsoft needed to tell them about it, couldn’t they over-project, and then come out with it sooner and make everybody happy? But then you remember the shareholders and the fact that the company is really only there to please the shareholders, who only want the company to make money and if you give out a release date that is sooner rather than later, that means you’ll be making money sooner and that makes them happy. The people with the money drive everything. I wish that would change too.

Maybe all my above conceptions are mislead, and now that I’ve written and thought about it, I’m kind of disagreeing with my past self, but I’m posting it anyway as food for thought.
