Flowa Powa!!Well I got a new “Flower Power” iMac yesterday. It weighs in at 500mhz with a G3 processor. I upgraded the ram from 128 to 256mb, and the thing can actually import DV video via Firewire without hiccuping, which is an improvement over my old 400mhz PowerMac machine, though I still can’t watch the Stevenote from last Tuesday. I think that might be because I don’t have the network settings correctly set.

I got it at the Princeton University Surplus department for 22 bucks, less than it should have been, but it doesn’t say how fast it is on the outside, so the guy put the model number in Google, and found that it was 350mhz. When I bought it I kinda had a suspicion that it would be faster.

EDIT: I got the Stevenote to work. It was network problems.
