Take a look at this “unphotoshoped” picture. It looks like the dollar bill is burning, but it isn’t. How could this be? Well, to achieve the experiment, you take a frying pan (doesn’t really matter, just something that can take heat) and put your dollar bill in it (or any other paper type thing), then pour in isopropyl rubbing alcohol 70% (It must be 70%, we used 91% one time and it burned a 20 dollar bill.) so it just covers the paper. Next pour in some salt and mix it in. Now you can light the alcohol on fire. (Though I would recommend using a piece of paper first until your sure it will work.) The alcohol will burn up leaving the dollar bill untouched. This works because the salt lowers the combustion temperature of the alcohol to the point were it is too low to catch the paper on fire.
